When Leona Panutat and Charlene Carlos approached me with the idea to hold a workshop in their gorgeous boutique, I was both excited and humbled! First of all, it’s been my dream to collaborate with them, ever since they launched L’Indochine some two years ago. (I had just visited their first shop in SM Aura back then!) Secondly, these ladies are such inspirations to me, in the way they balance life, family and work. They are supermompreneurs!
We talked about what kind of event would be possible, based on what we all had in common. In L’Indochine, their credo is inspired living, while here on Make it Blissful we believe in doing things meaningfully, whether it be work, homemaking, making a living, having a relationship, or doing anything creative. (I just mentioned all my blog categories, haha.) I then suggested a Journaling Workshop, with a twist: Instead of just general journaling, we’d connect it with L’Indochine’s travel and wanderlust angle. Hence, the gathering was dubbed as a Travel Journal get-together.
I invited some 20 ladies, my friends in the blogging community, creative community, small biz circle and also my current blog coaching clients. The gathering was held last November 11 in the flagship branch of L’Indochine at SM Mega Fashion Hall. The event was generously sponsored by Gourdo’s (scrapbooking materials galore), National Bookstore (journals, scissors, assorted pens, adhesives), Stabilo (pens and adult coloring sheets), Hey Kessy (washi tapes). The venue was decked in full travel-inspired glory by The School of Styling Philippines, and our yummy food was by my favorite Chelsea Kitchen. My husband’s new venture, Shophouse Cold Brew Coffee, also made its debut.
Let me tell the rest of the story of that day in photos, yeah?
Apart from the journaling that happened that afternoon, Hey Jow and L’Indochine also announced and launched their Holiday Collection and latest collaboration under the #LIndochineLovesHeyJow team-up. My gaaaash, I wanted to buy everything! Congratulations on the collab, ladies!
I also wanna thank Chelsea Kitchen for providing the delicious food for the afternoon. (I loooove the mushroom chicharon, soooo good! Thank you, Mela Sison, and Raintree Restaurants!) We also served my husband Ton’s new product, ready-to-drink single origin cold brew coffee.
Please do check out the full album of photos over on the Make it Blissful Facebook page, I posted them all there: L’Indochine x MiB Travel Journal Workshop! Thank you to Sarie Santiago (sariesantiago.com), for the photos. Thank you, L’Indochine, for entrusting this event to Make it Blissful and for the continued support! Thank you to all the ladies who came to spend the afternoon with us: I hope you can find your “me time” somehow through this little journal outlet, no matter how busy your days are! Finally thank you to our sponsors and friends who showed their support.
